Sanford Performing Arts Center

The Sanford Performing Arts Center (SPAC) is located in the heart of the new Sanford High School and Sanford Regional Technical Center. The 854-seat theater is a perfect venue for live performances of all kinds, including music, theater, dance, comedy, and more. Visit: http://www.sanfordpac.org/

The theater opened on December 17, 2018. In addition to school performances and speakers, the SPAC presents a series of national touring performances. The venue is also available for rent by outside organizations and presenters.  The mission of the SPAC is to provide educational and cultural enrichment opportunities to foster the development, understanding, and enjoyment of the performing arts in our community.

The SPAC is operated by the Sanford School Department. The SPAC committee is a 12-member team of volunteers tasked with driving the mission and vision of the theater.

Nasson Community Center and Little Theatre

Nasson Community Center and Little Theatre http://www.nassoncommunitycenter.com/ are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the people of central York County through diverse recreational, cultural, and civic programs that promote community and individual growth.

The Community Center includes a gorgeous gym with sports programming for the community, and the Nasson Community Center Child Care Program offering care for toddlers in social play, story-reading, singing, and art; while the 3 – 5 year-olds have a more structured program in developing skills needed to be ready to enter kindergarten.

Sanford Springvale Historical Society

The Sanford-Springvale Historical Society, in conjunction with the Sanford Historical Committee, collects, preserves, and displays artifacts, documents, records, photographs and other materials and objects of historical interest to the city. The Society makes its collections available to the public and offers educational opportunities through museum open hours and special tours for schools, groups and interested tourists. It encourages interest in history through its newsletter and public lectures and offers music programs to enhance the community’s cultural life. Visit: http://www.sanfordhistory.org/.
